Sustainable Hotel Design
ISA are at the forefront of incorporating energy and utility saving measures into existing and new hotel projects. The practice takes a pragmatic approach that couples 'common sense' design with building technologies with proven payback periods. The aim is not only to reduce the carbon footprint of our projects but save our clients money which would otherwise impact bottom line profitability.

We are currently working with Apex Hotels to incorporate new energy saving measures into their programme of capital and refurbishment works and attend regular operational 'green team' meetings to review energy saving measures.

Guardian Green List
Apex Hotels currently featured in the Guardian Green Travel List;

'A small chain of smart hotels in London, Edinburgh and Dundee that has done more than most to green up its act, from installing energy saving insulation to using ozone in its swimming pools instead of chlorine. Judge Stephanie Draper of Forum for the Future said: 'Their efforts sound like a lot of things every hotel should be doing anyway, such as replacing light bulbs or turning off TVs at night, but they have taken things a step further with green roofs and energy reducing technology- they even have a green architect'
