The project involved a comprehensive refurbishment of the existing business centre, meeting rooms, function hall and lounge of the Apex International Hotel.

The Function Suite is arranged around a new circular ceiling feature with a colour changing light feature. The lighting in the room has been flexibly designed to accommodate almost every conceivable use- from general meeting requirements to Weddings and private dinners.

The meeting rooms were conceived as a high quality, business orientated ‘board room’. New leaf and half doors were formed and all the clutter and accessories of a meeting room such as fax machine, telephones, glasses, notepaper etc are housed within built in veneered wardrobes. The walls and carpet are plain and the focus of the room is the dark mahogany meeting tables and leather upholstered seats.

The lounge space has been rationalised and the circulation improved by removing the existing open terrazzo stair in the centre of the space and creating a new staircase against a new mosaic wall. The bars have been refurbished and clad with black glass and slate. A new ‘chandelier’ is planned for the centre of the space.

The work was completed in just 6 weeks.
