Due to the success of the design proposals for the Hopetoun Street East housing, this site was developed using similar design principles. Again, undercroft car parking was utilised, with residents offered South facing balconies across the length of the street facade.
This allowed a considered urban design approach to be adopted for Hopetoun Street as a whole, ensuring animation and activity to the street throughout the day, while still catering for the needs of the individual residents.
