10,000 sq ft new build commercial office development over 5 floors
ISA obtained planning consent for the office building at the East end of Hopetoun Street in 2002.
The building was designed with a natural ventilation strategy in mind and a daylighting strategy based on its orientation and floor plate.
Sitting at the end of Hopetoun Street, the building acts as a bookend for the neighbouring
developments and resolves the difference in scale between the buildings on the lower end of McDonald Road and the higher buildings at the upper end, near Leith Walk.
The floor plans were designed to maximise the flexibility of use, with a simple, efficient rationale.
