Conversion and extension of existing office space into new restaurant. Including demolitions, kitchen, interior design, fit out & furniture design.

Addendum Restaurant and Bar was designed as a series of spaces, working with the existing building arrangement.

The brasserie is located in a double height, highly glazed volume facing the street. The facade is fully openable, allowing the cafe to spill out on to the street, maximising the views to the gardens opposite and creating a vibrant and lively street presence.

The a la carte restaurant is located internally, providing an intimate dining experience, with glimpsed views back to the bar and street only.

Tactile natural stone and timber soften and humanise the interior, with Crema Marfil marble and Black Kirby Slate complemented by American Black Walnut and red Vanceeva glass. Brightly coloured ceiling coffers and mirrors add visual interest and drama, while chrome polished stainless steel fittings and satin polished ironmongery create further contrast and reflection.

A bespoke cast glass installation was developed with artist Inge Paneels for the bar front itself, back-lit via hidden fibre optic lighting. Unique lighting was designed by Mike Stoane and Chelsom to suit the individual spaces.
