ISA were originally asked by the clients to prepare proposals for a new extension to their kitchen. After much discussion, the project expanded to include re-organising the layout of the entire house.
The original house was a converted and extended cottage. The previous owner had placed bedrooms on the ground floor and public rooms on the first floor at the end of a corridor past bedrooms and private rooms.
ISA moved the public rooms to the ground floor and the clients master bedroom to the first floor, creating a new en-suite bathroom and dressing room. The entrance was moved and a new study created.
The kitchen was extended with a new glazed extension with sliding doors that open to the south facing garden. A pergola shades a dining terrace.
