45 no. one, two and three bedroom new build flats for private sale, including building fabric and landscaping works with secure under-croft parking.

The building takes advantage of the existing slope across the site so that car parking can be accommodated below the building under a naturally ventilated, insitu concrete transfer structure.

This allowed a higher number of apartments to be accommodated on the site while still providing private gardens and shared green amenity space. The building is predominantly of timber kit construction, with steel framed stair and lift cores.

Responding to the verticality of the adjacent offices, the housing expresses a more horizontal format, with the South facade conceived as a sequence of generous balconies. These provide residents with additional external floor space, while offering some solar shading to the interior, reducing the austerity of the street and creating activity and animation to the facade.

New tree planting runs the length of the street, with new seating areas installed to encourage a vibrancy to the development and a connection and relationship with the community
