Ian Springford Architects were asked by Apex Hotels to upgrade the bedrooms and existing public areas from their current 3 star status to 4 star status to match the Apex International.

The bedrooms were upgraded along the same design concept as Apex International while the hotel remained open and occupied.

The public areas were refreshed in anticipation of a more extensive re-modeling and extension planned to begin late 2003.
