New build leisure facility including sauna, steam room, changing facilities, gym and specialist pool and jacuzzi.

The leisure facility is designed as a stand alone building, accessed from the reception area of the adjoining hotel via a new waiting area and lounge. The Spa features a swimming pool, Japanese style hot tubs, Klafs steam and sauna rooms, high-tech gymnasium, yoga room and beauty treatment rooms.

The spa is located on a quiet corner of the main hotel, with large windows maintaining a connection with the water of the adjacent Victoria Dock. The treatment rooms have their own relaxation lounge, which also has a large extent of glazing, looking over the water. To the rear. the gym and yoga room open out onto a private garden. The emphasis is on relaxation and respite.

The swimming pool sits below a translucent box that provides diffuse light during the day. At night feature lighting illuminates the box, creating dramatic effects inside and an illuminated beacon from the outside.

The success of the spa led to it being opened to outside membership.
